Race to Alaska (R2AK) is a 750-mile, motorless race from Port Townsend, WA to Ketchikan, AK—one of the toughest human- and wind-powered endurance challenges out there, followed by more than 45,000 dedicated fans.
We are four women who have carved space in engineering, mountaineering, marathon running, and sailing—fields where women remain underrepresented. Through our own journeys and through coaching young athletes, we’ve seen how powerful it is to see yourself in your mentors and role models.
Beyond the thrill of the adventure and the challenge of sailing engineless to Alaska, we’re here to create visibility, to inspire young girls, and to make space on the start line so the next generation of women sailors can see themselves in the story.
